3 MEDIA RELATIONS Contact Information: Teresa Garbee Athletic Media Relations Assistant / Softball (office) tgarbee@coastal.edu Interviews: Interviews with CCU coaches and players must be arranged through the athletic media relations office and will be scheduled before or after practices. No interviews will be allowed with players on game day unless permission is received from the coaching staff through the athletic media relations office. After all home events, CCU players and coaches will be available on the field following a brief cooling off period. A member of the Coastal Carolina athletic media relations staff will contact all media representatives at the events for interview requests. Under no circumstances will CCU student-athlete phone numbers be given out. TICKET INFORMATION Admission to all Coastal Carolina University Softball games will be free of charge. LOCKER ROOM AVAILABILITY A fully equipped locker room with shower facilities and towels will be provided to each team following any of their games at Coastal Carolina University. Locker rooms are located in the Athletic Administration Building, next to the softball field. Arrangements can be made by contacting Bryan Paar, or bpaar@coastal.edu, prior to game time. DIRECTIONS TO COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY By Air: Arriving at Myrtle Beach Airport, enter the on-ramp for Highway 17 North (entering to the right). Stay in the right lane and exit for Highway 501 North (to Conway). Follow the directions below for Highway 17 the remainder of the way. From I-95: Coming from the South on I-95, take Highway 327 exit to SC Hwy. 76/301 Turn left onto Hwy. 76/301. This will become Hwy. 576 and then Hwy After passing through Conway, turn right at the second stop light (approx. 2 miles) into the entrance of Coastal Carolina University. You are now on College Road. Kimbel Arena (basketball/volleyball), Charles L. Watson Baseball Stadium, and the Football Stadium are visible on the right from College Road. To get to the Softball Field or the Track & Field Complex, turn right onto Chanticleer Drive after passing Kimbel Arena but before getting to the Baseball Stadium. From the North on I-95, take the "South of the Border" exit (IMPOSSIBLE to miss). Follow signs to Myrtle Beach and this will lead you to Highway 501. After passing through Conway, turn right at the second stop light (approx. 2 miles) into the entrance of Coastal Carolina University. You are now on College Road. Kimbel Arena (basketball/volleyball), Charles L. Watson Baseball Stadium, and the Football Stadium are visible on the right from College Road. To get to the Softball Field or the Track & Field Complex, turn right onto Chanticleer Drive after passing Kimbel Arena but before getting to the Baseball Stadium.

4 From Highway 17: Follow Highway 17 Bypass to Highway 501 (Conway exit). At this point, you are approx. eight miles from campus. You will pass the stoplight at Conway Hospital and then pass a Food Lion shopping center (on left). Just after passing Horry- Georgetown Technical College (on left), take the next left into the entrance of Coastal Carolina University. See directions above to find athletic facilities. COASTAL CAROLINA SOFTBALL FIELD Seating Capacity: 300 Amenities: The facility is equipped with a practice infield, batting cages, and a Thor Guard lightning detection system. Concessions: A concession stand is located below the press box of Coastal Carolina Softball Field. The concession stand will be open prior to the game time and be open until the end of the event. Restrooms: Men s and women s restrooms are located next to the concession stands in Charles Watson Stadium, adjacent to the softball field. VISITING FAN PARKING Visiting fan parking will be located in the Brooks Stadium (football stadium) parking lot, located on the first base side of Charles Watson Stadium. There is also additional parking located on Chanticleer Drive West next to the batting cages and the Athletic Administration Building. There will be no reserved parking and well be granted on a first come first serve basis due to the student class schedule. Please see the attached Campus Map for further details. VISITING TEAM BUS PARKING Bus parking will be located on Chanticleer Drive, West adjacent to the practice infield/batting cages. This will allow for easy access to the facility during pre and post game times. Please see the Campus Map for further details. 5 LAUNDRY SERVICE Laundry Service will be provided by Coastal Carolina University for a fee of $ Laundry Services will be completed upon request to Bryan Paar, or bpaar@coastal.edu. The visiting team must supply a laundry bag upon arrival. CONTINGENCY PLAN In the event of inclement weather the Coastal Carolina University Game Management Staff will communicate with the Athletic Training staff as well as the game umpires on the location and severity of the inclement weather. The use of the Thor-Guard lightning detection system will allow the game management staff to prevent any of the teams or fans from being in harms way in the event of severe weather conditions. SPORTS MEDICINE Training Room The training room will be located in Williams-Brice for all training needs (across Chanticleer Dr. West, adjacent to baseball batting cages).
