Edward Jackson is a great student, said his teacher Michele Plummer. He has great character and morally makes the best decisions in daily circumstances. PHOTO CAPTION: Edwards Jackson Jr. is shown with Board President Jessica Miranda, family and Greenhills-Forest Park Kiwanis Club Member. Photo by Drew Jackson. He is a reliable student that gives his all in everything. Everyone wants Edward on their team because he is fair and follows the rules. His attitude is always positive, and he is a great group member when working on projects. His efforts to show integrity are noticed beyond his
5 classroom. All teachers at WWPS can vouch for the well-rounded student Edward has proven to be. William Gronefeld s is Kiwanis-Gold Star Student of the Month for April Guidance Counselor Brad Tash said it s been a privilege to know Winton Woods High School sophomore William Gronefeld for the past two years, and it was his pleasure to nominate Gronefeld as the high school s final Kiwanis-Gold Star Student of the Month for the school year. I have watched William mature into a remarkable young man, said Tash. William challenged himself this year with a very demanding schedule filled with honors and upper-level courses while maintaining A s and B s. Tash described Gronefeld as a student that exceeds and invests time in his academics and PHOTO CAPTION: Winton Woods High School sophomore William Gronefeld is shown receiving his award from Greenhills-Forest Park Kiwanis Club member. Photo by Drew Jackson. extracurricular activities. William s academic accomplishments are even more notable when you consider the number of activities he immerses himself in, said Tash. William is a member of The Headcases writing club, where he was one of six competitors in the illustrious Survival of the Fictitious contest. Additionally, William is a member of the Academic Quiz Team and Mock Trial Team. William joined some of his classmates in attending the Northern Kentucky University Law Academy where he was able to experience what it is like to be a lawyer or judge. On top of all this, William still finds time to volunteer as a tutor at our after-school program in the library. William Gronefeld combines intelligence, work-ethic, and involvement to match with his congenial personality to be one of Winton Woods top students, said Tash. We are very proud of William and all that he has contributed to the high school in just two years. He is extremely deserving of this award.
