Campus Ministry News and Service Opportunities NEED CHURCH SERVICE HOURS? IHM Vacation Bible School is looking for volunteers for our VBS being held June 20th to June 23 rd from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We are in need of actors for our Bible Stories Station, Family Leader assistants to help with the young children who are attending VBS. We are also in need of volunteers for our music and crafts station. This is a great way to teach about our faith to our young kids. As an ambassador you would attend events and volunteer with the Spring Folly and other activities that they host. College Visits Due to the specialized requirements for scholarships, requests for transcripts for scholarships cannot be handled through Naviance. College Visits College visits are announced via the TV and Naviance. Juniors and seniors are invited to attend these meetings in the Counseling Center. College APplications Sign-up is required on Naviance or in the Counseling Center at least one day in advance. Salem College Book Award Young women who are currently juniors who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the classroom, active involvement in quality high school activities, and display exceptional character and commitment to the community are invited to present themselves for nomination. The award includes an $8,000 scholarship if the student selected chooses to enroll in Salem College. Do you need a transcript for a scholarship application? We have a form for that! 7 Weekly Athletic NEWS, Events and Schedule Updates Cheerleading Tryouts will be held at Bishop McGuinness HS for school year on May 23, 24 and 25 from 4-6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. There will likely be cuts for next year and a spot on the team this year is not a guarantee of a spot next year. Please come ready to learn all that you will need to know to be a member of our squad. You will be learning jumps, positions, poses, sideline cheers, floor cheers and dances. There will be 2 days of practice followed by judging/tryout day. Please bring water and wear practice clothes (shirts, shirt and sneakers). Thank you. ATTENTION VARSITY BOYS SOCCER Team Camp: 7/29-31 at Wake Forest University. Camp is overnight, and the cost is $220 per player. Please Coach Hodges at nh@bmhs.us for all forms and info. Tryouts: 8/1-8/4. Location will be at Bishop McGuinness and Triad Park. Times TBD.
