1 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING SANTA CRUZ VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 35 Pursuant to A.R.S , the Santa Cruz Unified School District No. 35 Governing Board provides notice to its members and to the general public that a REGULAR MEETING OF THE GOVERNING BOARD shall be held on TUESDAY, AUGUST 24, 2010 AT 5:30 P.M. in the GOVERNING BOARD ROOM DISTRICT OFFICE, located at 570 CAMINO LITO GALINDO, RIO RICO, ARIZONA. REVISED AGENDA I. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance/Roll Call: Mrs. Susan Faubion, Mrs. Rosie Simpson, Mr. Harry Clapeck-Clerk, Mr. Brian Vandervoet-President. II. Adoption of Agenda III. Call to the Public Under Call to the Public, members of the audience may speak up to five minutes each. Speakers must complete the forms available for scheduling an opportunity to address the Board, prior to making a presentation. The Arizona Open Meeting Law prohibits discussion to any item that is not on the agenda. Upon request, the Board can schedule issues on future agendas and direct the Administration to take action. IV. Presentations: 1. Recognition of Mrs. Toni Ann Schadler as the 2010 Santa Cruz County, Arizona Teacher of the Year. 2. Intramural Athletic Program at Calabasas and Coatimundi Middle Schools David Verdugo, Calabasas Middle Principal, John Fanning, Coatimundi Middle Principal 3. Superintendent s Report Pursuant to A.R.S K A superintendent (or presiding officer) may give a summary of current events without listing the matters summarized in the agenda, provided that the summary is listed on the agenda and the public body does not discuss or take legal action on any matter that is not specifically identified on the agenda. 4. Board Member Report Acknowledgements, expressions of gratitude, congratulatory messages. V. Information/Discussion/Action: (20 min.) 1. Approval of the Facilities Use Fee Schedule. 2. Approval of the Intramural Athletic Program Positions at Calabasas and Coatimundi Middle Schools beginning with the school year. 3. Discussion and possible approval on the distribution of the Forestry Fee Fund. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the response to Mr. Jack Scholnick s letter to the Nogales International dated August 17, Propose and prioritize topics, and possible dates and times for future board meetings. VI. Consent Agenda: 1. Approval of the Minutes of the Board Meeting held on July 27, (10 min.)

Approval to establish a line of credit with JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. for the District, with the Santa Cruz County Treasurer acting as the agent. 5. Acceptance of the donation of $200 from the Peña Blanca Elementary School Parent Booster Club to the Peña Blanca Elementary School Auxiliary account. 6. Approval of the following fundraiser requests from Calabasas Middle School: a. Cheer Club-car wash b. Student Council-Great America catalog sales 7. Approval of the following fundraiser requests from Rio Rico High School: a. Class of 2011-class t-shirts b. Band-car wash, coffee, candles, pancake breakfasts, butter braids, chocolates, Little Caesar s Pizza, Nogales International subscriptions, Carl s Jr. coupon books, and holiday cards and candy. c. German Club/Chess Team-Gold cards. 8. Approval of the following fundraiser request from San Cayetano Elementary School: a. Art Club-Square One Arts 9. Approval of the following fundraiser requests from Coatimundi Middle School: a. Yearbook club-yearbooks b. Student Council-Great America catalog sales 10. Acceptance of the Auxiliary and Student Activity Reports for July, Ratification/approval of the following vouchers: a. Ratify: Expense 1004, $296, b. Ratify: Expense 1005, $62, c. Ratify: Payroll 4, $617, d. Approve: Expense 1006, not to exceed $500, e. Approve: Expense 1007, not to exceed $500, f. Approve: Expense 1008, not to exceed $500, g.
