Call to order and approval of agenda, welcome Introductions -name, school, number of years (weeks) teaching Recognized past, present and elect IBA officers currently teaching in SCIBA II. III. Committee Reports JH/MS Affairs-Christa Miller * Registration date is Sept. 5-Penalty deadline is Friday Sept. 12 * 8 th grade audition Grandview Sunday Sept. 3:00-details from Mark Doerffel * 8 th grade auditions held Tuesday Oct. 7 and Waukee South MS * HB concert held at Knoxville HS on Tuesday Nov. 4 * Audition material located on website-concerts staggered to accommodate audiences. Marching Band Affairs-Bret Lee Met with Alan Greiner this summer along with Mike Peters Auxiliary and percussion Ballots were examined and wording tweaked so it could be presented to the IHSMA executive Board. This fall the Auxiliary and Guard Judges will be added to the judging panel with scores adjusted to reflect a balance between music and marching. Bands with no auxiliary will see an adjusted score to reflect the same percentages for ratings as the band w/auxiliary. The Marching Band Registration Fee will reflect the added judges. Commissions Project-Diane Tordoff, Christa Miller, Karla Killinger Composer Travis Cross (Ankeny graduate) currently teaching at UCLA Written for 9/10 Honor Band-performance January 2016 Negotiations ongoing to have Mr. Cross direct the 9/10 HB for that concer Endowment-Gene Gross-no report V. Event chair-person Reports Junior High Honor Band-Christa Miller 2015 AI8GHB conductor will be Kevin Mixon Directors may recommend pieces that they feel are excellent as well as peruse the list and search for literature ideas Committee has begun work on another literature clinic. Target for that clinic would be at Dr. Golemo s conference High School Honor Band-Chris Strohmaier, Jennifer Williams Moving to Ankeny HS. Concert Jan Auditions at Roosevelt Thursday Dec. 4, 2014 Each school can submit 15 students per band (NEW THIS YEAR) Junior High Large Group-Mary Crandell Registrations due Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 Penalty deadline Friday, Des. 19, THIS IS FIRM Dates for festivals are Sat. Feb 14 and Sat. April 18 ONLY

Compensation was raised to $ plus mileage and hotel per membership vote at spring meeting Currently receiving registration. Registration Deadline is Oc.t 20-$ per ensemble. Penalty deadline is Oct. 27-$ per ensemble. FIRM Saturday Dec. 13 is an ACT date Jason Pentico will take care of the judges comments files so they will be available on-line following your band s performance. Last year we added two minutes to the time slots and performance limit was increased to 20 minutes of music to align with IHSMA rules. VI. VII. VIII. CU Motion by Kevin Meier to award secretary/treasurer $ stipend for year. 2 nd by Diane Tordoff. CU New Business Bylaw Revisions-Jayson Gerth Proposal from Chad Criswell to be able to vote for IBA offices on-line. Discussionmajority show of hands to approve this. Jayson is sharing his passion for educating students in each he sends. Take advantage of these nuggets. Proposed revision to the SCIBA bylaws.
