Agenda/Packet: The Agenda/Packet is available for review at the Hyattsville Municipal Building and online at prior the scheduled meeting (generally available no later than the Friday prior to the scheduled Monday meeting). Please note, times given for agenda items are estimates only. Matters other than those indicated on the agenda may also be considered at Council discretion. Public Input: If you wish to address the Council during the Public Comment period, please submit an Audience Participation Form to the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting. Matters identified during Public Comment that are not on that meeting s agenda will be referred to staff for follow-up or considered on a future agenda. Issues that require a response will be addressed publically at the next regular Council meeting. Speakers are requested to keep their comments to no more than two (2) minutes per speaker. 6 PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING COUNCILMEMBER RUTH ANN FRAZIER S DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF HYATTSVILLE This proclamation acknowledges and celebrates the leadership, involvement, and commitment that Councilmember Ruth Ann Frazier, a life-long resident of the City, has demonstrated while representing Ward 5 on Hyattsville s City Council. WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Frazier served as a dedicated Councilmember representing Ward 5 and the City of Hyattsville from May 19, 1997 to May 19, 2013, and again from September 21, 2015 to May 15, 2017; and WHEREAS, Councilmember Frazier s leadership and commitment to children and families throughout the City has resulted in lasting Hyattsville traditions such as the Sonny Frazier Toy Drive for children in need and the Hyattsville Heroes Bowl to help raise funds for that important enterprise; and WHEREAS, her spirit of service to others is reflected by many accolades, including her membership on the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the President s Call to Service Award among others, and by her contributions to the City s senior, youth, and volunteer programs. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Councilmembers, staff, and residents of the City of Hyattsville extend their sincerest appreciation and best wishes to Councilmember Ruth Ann Frazier for her dedicated service and future endeavors. PASCHALL S DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF HYATTSVILLE This proclamation acknowledges and celebrates the leadership, involvement, and commitment that Councilmember Patrick A. Paschall has demonstrated while representing Ward 3 on Hyattsville s City Council. WHEREAS, Patrick A. Paschall served as a dedicated Councilmember representing Ward 3 and the City of Hyattsville from May 20, 2013 to May 15, 2017; and WHEREAS, Councilmember Paschall s leadership and commitment to building a safer and stronger community for City residents from all backgrounds resulted in significant and lasting contributions to Hyattsville s code and Charter, in addition to the City s services, programs, infrastructure, and economic development; and WHEREAS, his reputation for tackling difficult and challenging issues that, in some cases, required legislative changes, policy revisions, and significant coordination and cooperation, has resulted in improved services, support, and quality of life for City residents and visitors.
