The College Mentor Program provides students with one-on-one assistance from a volunteer program mentor who will help seniors navigate the college admissions and financial aid process throughout their senior year. Students are eligible for the program if: They are the first in their immediate family to go to college (besides siblings). They will NOT be enrolled in AVID during their senior year. They have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and are on track to graduate. College Mentor Program applications are available in the W.H.S. Counseling Office or in Mrs. Johnson s office in the Career Center.

4 PSAT Are you a junior planning on taking the ACT or SAT this spring? Are you considering attending a 4- year university after high school? If so, you should register for the PSAT. The PSAT is a practice test for the SAT and can provide you with helpful information for the ACT as well. This year the test will take place on the morning of Wednesday, October 11 at 7:30. The cost of the test is $16. You can register for the test in the ASB office between Friday, September 15 and Friday, October 6. The test is open to sophomores, but a limited number of tests are available and preference will be given to juniors. Contact the counseling office if you have any questions.
