The sale will be held Thursday, May 3 and Friday, May 4 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. each day. We are going to be selling at United Supermarket again and we need EVERY 4-H member to work a shift. North Fork, Soaring Eagles and Clover Kids will work Thursday, May 3 and Top of Texas Archery, McLean, Lefors and Air Rifle will work Friday, May 4. If you cannot make it on the evening that your club is assigned, you are more than welcome to come on the other night. This is a wonderful fundraiser for us! We will need some volunteers standing at our table for about 2 hours each of these days. Any amount of time you can donate is helpful, so please call the office and let us know what day and time you would like to be there. We typically like to have someone at the table between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. and anytime on the weekends. We appreciate your time and support! Gray County 4-H is now offering the Rabbit Project. Project Leader will be Lizz Beason. If you are interested in raising, caring for or exhibiting rabbits, please contact the office at
2 Gray County Shotgun Project is set to kick off Tuesday, April 3rd at 5:30 p.m. There is a mandatory Parent and Shooter meeting to review this year s objectives. All Shooters will be required to have hearing protection and safety glasses while participating. Ammunition will be provided at each practice and shotguns are available for those shooters that do not have one. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Clothing and Textiles The Pampa Clothing Project will meet Thursday, April 6:30 to complete Fashion Show paperwork. The McLean Clothing Project will meet Tuesday, April 4:15. County Fashion Show is scheduled for Sunday, April 3:30. Archery Practices will meet Monday, April 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 6:00 p.m. The TOT Archery Club will meet Thursday, April 19 at the range. Photography The Photography project will meet Tuesday, April 7:00 p.m. Robotics The Robotics project will meet on Friday, April 13 and Friday April 27 at 6:00 p.m. Dog The Dog Project will meet Thursday, April 26 at the 6:30 p.m. Public Speaking The Public Speaking Project will meet Friday, April 4:30 and Friday, April 4:30. CLUB NEWS North Fork 4-H Club will meet Tuesday, April 6:30 p.m. at the Annex 4-H Lefors Pirates will meet Wednesday, April 3:45 in the cafeteria. Soaring Eagles will meet Friday, April 2:30 in the cafeteria. Clover Kids will meet Monday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Annex Top of Texas Archery will meet Thursday, April 6:00 p.m. at the range. McLean 4-H Club will meet in May.
4 Council Meetings 4-H YOUTH COUNCIL The 4-H Youth Council will meet at the Annex on Sunday, May 4:30 p.m. PARENT/LEADER COUNCIL The Adult leaders council meeting is scheduled for June 19 at 7:00 p.m. Officer elections will be held. Texas Majors-Steer & Heifer Validation Exhibitors who plan to exhibit steer or heifers at Tri-State, Forth Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, San Angelo, Odessa, or Dallas need to order validation tags through the Gray County AgriLife Extension Office. Please be aware of the following deadlines: Validation fee for Steers o $15 per head April 1-April 20 o $25 per head April 21-June 23 Heifer Validation: Please place orders April 1-April 20; we will accept late orders until June 23. Validation fee for Heifers o $15 per head by July 7 Heifer registration papers must be in the name of the exhibitor at the time of validation State Fair of Texas Market Lamb and Goat Validation Ordering Process Exhibitors who plan to exhibit Market Lambs and/or Market Goats at the Texas State Fair need to order validation tags through the Gray County AgriLife Extension office. Please be aware of the following deadlines: Validation fee for State Fair Market Lambs and Market Goats o $15 per head April 1-April 20 o $25 per head April 21-June 23 The State Fair of Texas does not participate in the Breeding Sheep and Breeding Goat Validation program, so no breeding validations will be ordered.
