1 January 2017 CLUBS OF ARANSAS COUNTY 4-HNewsletter ELIGIBILITY Criteria To be eligible to compete in any competition, Please contact the Extension office ASAP if you are interested, registration fills up fast, so we will complete registration for you. First 5 4-H members to sign up will have registration, transportation and hotel paid. 4-H Clubs of Aransas County Queen Contestant Gwen Aubrey is the Rockport Fulton Heritage 4-H Club contestant representing our county in the A&H Show Queens Contest on January 7, Gwen is currently a sophomore at Rockport Fulton High School and is a member of the RFHS Band. She is a budding artist and takes part in the Shooting Sports project. Gwen is currently the Recreation Officer for the Rockport Fulton Heritage 4-H Club and is working on a painting to enter in the Fine Arts division Let s show our support for Gwen on Saturday, January 7th 5:30pm at the Sinton High School Auditorium located at 440 N Pirate Blvd, Sinton, TX Good Luck Gwen! 2 Aransas/San Patricio County A&H Show January 20-28, Volunteers Needed: We are seeking volunteers for the homemaking division at the A&H Show: Checking in homemaking items on January 23 from 5-7 Judging homemaking items on January 24 from 9-noon. Checking out homemaking items on January 28 from 5-6. REMINDER: Veterinary Feed Directive drugs approved for use in animal feed or water that are currently available over the counter will become VFD drugs JANUARY 1st and will require written authorization from a licensed veterinarian. Please see the information we sent to you in the mail mid-december or call the Extension office if you have any questions. SHOOTING SPORTS PROJECT LEADER: Frank Randall CONTACT INFO: Mark your calendar: Shooting Sports will begin meeting February May on 5:45. Everyone must meet at the Extension office (no exceptions); be sure to be on time. 4-H members 11 years and younger must have a parent with them at every project meeting.
