1 ATHLETIC EVENTS THAT BRING THEM IN As a former high school and college athlete, a high school football coach, an event planner and a minister. Tommy not only loves to speak to athletes but has planned numerous events which appeal to those who love sports & their heroes. TOM G. HUNTLEY was the Assistant General Manager of Ridgecrest Conference Center, the 5th largest Christian Conference Center in America. His comment about Tommy: Tommy is a dynamic speaker, talented leader and event planner. In addition to planning large events for conferences he has also honed his skills to create creative events for churches and Christian organizations. His event planning skill set encompasses organization, innovation, relationship building, strong communication skills, proficiency and a talent for planning, development and implementation. Outreach Events he planned arranged in size from 40 to 4,000 participants. Athletic Outreach Events were designed to appeal to a variety of ages & fans

3 DESCRIPTION After defeating Muhammad Ali, Trevor Berbick became the Heavy Weight Champion of the World. With the assistance of Dr. Harland Hastings, a Canadian Trustee of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. LOCATION - Trevor gave his testimony at the worship service at West End Baptist Church of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Tommy gave the message. IMPACT This event led to greater exposure and encouraged the elders to be more aggressive in utilizing Community Outreach Events.

4 DESCRIPTION City Wide Basketball Outreach with an All - Star Cast The N.C.S.U. Cheerleaders led cheers & shared their testimony. 5 Dean Smith, John Lotz & Larry Brown share UNC Basketball Memories John Lotz was the evening s Keynote Speaker DESCRIPTION City Wide Basketball Outreach with an All - Star Cast LOCATION A school gym in Raleigh, North Carolina IMPACT God used this event to open doors for these future activities> God s serendipities surprise for the night was when a Christian female counselor brought 6 school buses of neglected, troubled teens & young adults to our outreach event.. They traveled 90 minutes to attend. OUR SPECIAL GUEST WAS RANDY SHEPPARD OF CROSSFIRE MINISTRY

6 With the assistance of Head Football Coach Lou Holtz of the Arkansas Razorback and the University of Arkansas Fellowship of Christian Athletes the student ministry of First Baptist church hosted a city wide outreach event open to all athletes & coaches. Although it was held in the middle of football season, one of the moving testimonies came from two All-American swimmers. DESCRIPTION City wide Outreach to local high school athletes LOCATION First Baptist Church of Conway, Arkansas IMPACT A well attended event which was spiritually moving, The success of this event opened doors for us to have 4 all school assemblies and to begin chapels services for athletes in 2 public & 1 catholic high school

8 MORE SUCCESSFUL OUTREACHES IDEAS FOOTBALL DESCRIPTION City Wide Outreach to high school students & willing parents LOCATION Celebration Baptist Church of Tallahassee, Florida IMPACT Combining a mud football game, lots of advertising, the local fire department a fun filled afternoon of mud football was played. After a hosing down and change of clothes the students heard several Florida State University football players and coaches shared about their relationship with Jesus Christ. The event was topped off by free refreshments including hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, popcorn, soft drinks and more. The result was extremely successful, so much so that the event received newspaper and television coverage.

9 DESCRIPTION City wide outreach to single adults LOCATION Grace Church of Edina ( renamed Grace Church of Eden Prairie ) IMPACT A moving testimony by Karl Kassulke, a paralyzed football player caused a packed congregation to realize that being paralyzed is just an inconvenience. Not knowing Jesus Christ is life s greatest paralysis
