Beyond Pluto WED Jan 2 9p When the New Horizons spacecraft traveled past Pluto in 2015, we were dazzled by the breathtaking images it beamed home and by the remarkable new details those images revealed about the dwarf planet. On New Year s Day 2019, the craft will fly by an object beyond Pluto known as MU69 the most distant flyby in NASA s history, at 4 billion miles from Earth shedding new light on one of the least understood regions of our solar system.
