Saturday, December 8: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. MEMORIAL SERVICE Wednesday, December 12 (6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in The Worship Center) Each year, First Baptist leads a service to remember our members and loved ones who have passed away. This year s service will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. If you are planning to attend the Memorial Service and would like to recognize a deceased loved one, please complete the form located in the Member Services Room (Rm 202). The deadline for submitting names is December 5. END-OF-YEAR GIVING The tithes and offerings of God s people make all our ministries at FBC possible. Thank you for giving and please remember that you can claim a charitable contribution for 2018 by submiting your contribution one of the following ways: Placing it in the offering plate on or before December 30 Delivering it to the Church Office on or before December 31 Submitting it online before midnight December 31 Mailing it to the Church Office with a postmark of December 31 or earlier Online contributions may be made at fbcrockhill.org/online-giving. Contributions placed in the offering plate on the first Sunday of January 2019 will not qualify for a charitable contribution deduction in 2018 (even if the check is back-dated to 2018 or was actually written in 2018). These requirements are set by the IRS. To ensure the deductibility of your church contributions, do not file your 2018 income tax return until you have received a written acknowledgment of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax-deductible if you file your tax return before you receive a written acknowledgment of your contributions from the church. THE WORSHIP CHOIR S CHRISTMAS CD IS ON SALE The Worship Choir s newest recording, The Worship of Christmas has arrived. This collection of songs includes some traditional favorites plus some written just for this project. The choir was accompanied by one Nashville s top studio orchestras. You may purchase your copy today at the Music and Worship table in the back of the Worship Center. Get your copy and begin enjoying The Worship of Christmas. Cost is $15.00

3 TOYS FOR HAPPINESS For over 30 years WRHI radio station has brightened Christmas for children in our community aged birth to 14 years. United Way of York County partners with OTS Media to take applications from families in need, collect toys, and staff volunteers for distribution. Over 2,000 children were served last year. You can help spread holiday joy by donating new, unwrapped toys. First Baptist will be a collection center with boxes in the Worship Center Lobby area and in the preschool hallway until December 9.

4 JINGLE JAM Wednesday, December 12 (6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in The Rock) A Christmas Party BIG Enough for the Whole Family! An experience for adults and kids (Ages 5th grade & younger). GA S CHRISTMAS TREE Our GA girls worked hard on Christmas Ornaments to raise money for a Lottie Moon Offering from the GAs. They are accepting donations and would love for you to take an ornament home with you. The tree is located in the First Kids area of the lobby. B45 CHRISTMAS PARTY Wednesday, December 05 (6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in Rooms 324 & 325) Please bring a small gift for the party. Don t spend more than $5 or find something you want to get rid of around the house. Appropriate for a 4th or 5th grader - gender neutral. We will play a game with the gifts. We will provide refreshments for the evening. Encourage your child to invite someone and wrap up an extra gift so they can play along that night. YOUTH NEW YEAR S EVE PARTY Monday, December 31 (7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. in The ROCK) Middle School and High School Students, join us for a game of Underground Church on New Year s Eve! Please bring a friend and a snack to share. A NEW TUESDAY BIBLE STUDY HAS BEGUN Tuesdays (9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The APEX ) While We Wait by Mary Lou Redding (Book Cost: $6.00) All women are invited and childcare for preschool age children is available.
