2 - ANNOUNCEMENTS - September 12-16, The Oct. Staff Meeting will take place on Wed., Oct. 5, 2011, 7:00 am & 2:45 pm. 2. On Mon., Sept. 12, 2011, grades 4-12 will observe a moment of silence in memory of those affected by the terrorist attack on Sept. 11, This will take place during homeroom. Please talk with your students and prepare them for this memorial. 3. Be sure to turn in your Emergency Lesson Plans, Rules & Expectations, Emergency Medical forms and your textbook lists to Mrs. Hogue ASAP. 4. The Flower Fund is due to Mrs. Hogue ASAP. 5. Flu shots are Oct. 7, 2011, 7:00-8:00 am, HS Clinic. Contact Kathy Dafler (ext. 1102) to order an injection. 6. The 1 st STAR Day if Wed., Sept. 14, Please remind homeroom students of the schedule for that day. We will dismiss students from lunch when the buses are ready. The Bell Schedule is as follows. Practice OGT s for sophomores are being ordered. Notification will be sent out when they arrive. All sophomores will take Reading, Science, Math, and Social Studies. We will score the short answer & extended response on the Oct. STAR Day. 12. Our Link Crew is hosting a student conference on Oct. 20, Link leaders will be involved through lunch that day !!! 14. Constitution Day will be recognized during homeroom on Fri., Sept. 16, Please be sure to have your TV s on channel 76 at that time for this required Federal program. 15. The MUSE machine will conduct their 1 st performance on Mon., Sept. 12, 2011, 1:45 pm, in the auditorium. The 1 st STAR Day will take place on Wed., Sept. 14, Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm. 2. The annual high school SWAP Day will be held on Fri., Sept. 30, ALL HS parents are invited. Registration forms have been given to the students. Please register before Sept. 14 th to ensure proper head counts for seating and food. This is a great day for students and parents and we are expecting another large attendance. Hope to see you there!
