4 Attention sophomores: Applications are now being accepted for Hugh O Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY). HOBY has inspired young people for over six decades to make a difference and become catalysts for positive change in their home, school, workplace, and community. Students spend 3-4 days engaging in leadership development activities, collaborating with students from throughout the state, and exploring leadership from three perspectives: individual, group, and society. Seminars take place between April and June. The exact dates and location will be announced in mid-november. We would like to recognize your sacrifice and service to our nation. Marietta High School holds an annual Veterans Day Assembly to honor those who have served. We are extending this invitation to our local community and invite you to attend this commemorative event on Friday, 9 November 2018, 9 a.m. in the Marietta High School Performance Gym. We will take time out to individually recognize all veterans in attendance. A continental breakfast will be served to our Veterans at 8 a.m. in the Seminar Room. We will be collecting non-perishables items like can goods and boxed goods, (EX: rice, pasta, cranberry sauce, peanut butter) so start your shopping now. There will be a friendly class competition added this year, so bring your best class spirit (Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) and give with a purpose. JUE. OCT 25 FRI. Students and staff will receive a sticker with $1 donation to wear a costume. PTSA table will set up in the cafeteria during lunch on 10/25-10/30 to collect $1 donations. They will also receive donations in front of the staircase on Wednesday 10/31 from 7:20-9AM
