1 THE ICABOAST May 2017 Published Monthly Issue No. 235 News from the City of Ione Brian Spivey and Jim Holtz have joined the City as a council member. We are beginning to prepare the budget for the next fiscal year and will be contacting citizens to serve on the committee. Upcoming Council Meeting dates: May 9, 6 p.m. Ione Community Church The May Senior Lunch will be on Tuesday, May 23rd at 11:30 a.m. Come join us for food and conversation. Save The Date!!! Vacation Bible School at Ione Community Church will be June from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Children in Kindergarten-5th grades are invited to join us for a week of fun in Ancient Rome! Dinner will be provided. Make sure this gets on your calendar! Ione Community Church will change it s worship time to 10 a.m. beginning May 28th. We hope to see you there!! Having raised his family in South Morrow County he feels he understands the importance of being invested in the community you live and work in. Mr.

Prior to that he spent 29 years in the banking industry and feels he has gained valuable practice in his management and people skills. He is really looking forward to being a CARDINAL!

!! Donations and fundraising for the outdoor drinking fountain in memory of Wyatt Aleksa have ended in success! The fountain will be installed over the summer, just in time for long hot days.

New foreign exchange students are awaiting the opportunity to come to America for the 2016-17 year. We have both full school year students and semester students available!

Most important of all is they become a part of your family. This experience not only broadens their view of how Americans really live but also strengthens our bonds globally.

Mr. Marshall has 9 years of administrative experience at Weston- McEwen High School, Nyssa High School and Nyssa Middle School. Prior to that he spent 29 years in the banking industry and feels he has gained valuable practice in his management and people skills. He is really looking forward to being a CARDINAL!
