Mr. Geiger at tgeiger@roncallijets.net Holy Family Memorial Maritime Marathon (Sunday, June 12 th ) In Courage, formly the Domestic Violence Center, is looking for volunteers to help in their food tent during the Holy Family Memorial Maritime Marathon on Sunday. June 12 th. They have three shifts available: 6:30M 9:15M (5 Volunteers), 9:00M 11:30M (8 Volunteers), 11:15M 1:30PM (8 Volunteers). If you are interesed in helping out, please Laurie Clark SP at fdcr@sbcglobal.net. Race starts at 7:00M at UW-Manitowoc. Relay for Life (Friday, July 29 th ) Come together with members of our local community to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against cancer on Friday, July 29 th from 7pm until 12 midnight. Grab a few friends and join the Roncalli Relay for Life Team to walk around the Two Rivers High School Track and raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer. We will have a Roncalli site with a tent and snacks we start at 7pm and finish around midnight. 1

2 Saint Vincent de Paul Store (Every Saturday) The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is dedicated to assisting those in need with person-to-person care. The Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Manitowoc serves Manitowoc County by supporting members in the community with goods and services they might not otherwise have available to them. Lend a hand to this fantastic outreach program by volunteering for three hours on Saturday mornings. From cleaning shelves to sorting new donations, the summertime is the busy season for St. Vincent de Paul so we need your help! ll Summer Long Every Saturday from 9am until 1pm! Lakeshore Weekend for Kids (Saturday, ugust 6 th ) Last year alone, over 2,500 Manitowoc County children were cared for by the Children s Hospital of Wisconsin. Lakeshore Weekend for Kids is an annual fundraising event that benefits Children s Hospital of Wisconsin and aids in providing care for sick and suffering children in Wisconsin. Shipbuilder s Credit Union is looking for Roncalli Students to help supervise the games in the Children s Tent for this important event. So find a couple friends and sign up for the following shift: Saturday, ugust 6 th from 8:30am until 12 noon Touched Twice Clinic Set-Up (Tuesday, ugust 9 th through Friday, ugust 12 th ) Touched Twice United is an organization that supports counties across the entire country to strive to meet the basic needs of our neighbors by hosting a day-long clinic to provide basic services that might not otherwise be available to members of our community. Manitowoc s 2016 Touched Twice Clinic will be hosted at Roncalli High School on Saturday, ugust 13 th but in order to make this event a success, we are looking for a lot of help for set-up! 2

3 Set-up for this important event will begin on Tuesday, ugust 9 th from 9am until 7pm and will continue all week through Friday, ugust 12 th. We are expecting a large attendance at the Clinic and are looking for individuals or families to help make the event a success! From helping with parking to passing out food and from helping individuals find clothing to helping guests carry things to their cars, Roncalli is in need of individuals to help serve in a number of capacities at this event. We are also looking for advocates who help guests to navigate the day and find the services they need. training session will be held for all advocates on Sunday, ugust 2 nd and Thursday, ugust 7 th individuals who plan to help with the day are encouraged to attend one of these sessions. Yes, I would like to serve on Saturday, ugust 13 th from 7:30am -12:30pm Yes, I would like to serve on Saturday, ugust 13 th from 12:30pm -5:30pm Saint Francis of ssisi Parish Picnic Set-Up (Fri. ug. 12 th ) SF Parish will be hosting a Fish Fry on Friday, ugust 12 th and they are looking for help taking orders, running food, and cleaning tables. This is a great chance to give back to one of our local parishes! Many hands make little work, so the more help, the better! 4 Serra Club Picnic (TB) Lasallian Youth is looking for 6 volunteers to serve food and assist the sisters, brothers and priests of Manitowoc County at the annual Serra Club Picnic from 4:00pm until roughly 7:00pm. Each year the Serra Club honors those who have dedicated their life to serving the Church and others through religious life. This is a great event that allows you to give back to those who have given our community so much.
