5 Tournament Format All 48 teams are divided into pools of 4 teams each. Each pool is a round robin and all teams will play each other 3 matches total. Based on the results of the round robin pool play, teams are placed in Brackets. The twelve 1st place teams and the top four 2nd place teams will advance to the Gold Bracket. The bottom eight 2nd place teams will go to the Silver Bracket. The top eight 3rd place teams will go to the Bronze Bracket. The bottom four 3rd place teams and top four 4th place teams will go to the Copper Bracket. The bottom eight 4th place teams will go to the Fun Bracket. Teams will have a minimum of 6 matches and a maximum of 7 matches depending on their bracket. Scoring World Team Tennis (WTT) format can be found on the back of each TOC match scorecard. On-Court Disputes Request the assistance of a USTA Official or Tournament Staff, discuss your dispute. Issues settled by USTA Official and/or Tournament Staff. Their decision can be appealed to the Tournament Committee. Venue All matches will be played at the Jim Reffkin Tennis Center in Tucson, Arizona. The TOC Spring Invitational Championship match will be on courts at 12 pm on Sunday, April 10th. Practice Courts available at Reffkin(limited), DoubleTree Hotel and Catalina High School for free. Team Sportsmanship Award Will be awarded to the team that participates in the true spirit of the sportsmanship ideal. All team captains/teams will vote for which team they think exemplifies and exhibits fundamental values such as respect, fairness, honesty and best attitude. These votes along with votes from the Tournament Staff will determine the winner. Votes are due Saturday 4pm. Winner announced Sunday morning. ( 5 )
6 Tennis On Campus Trivia Contest Friday, April 8th (Between Rounds 2 & 3 of Pool Play) All team captains will report to the tournament desk immediately after their round 2 match to get their Trivia Contest form. Trivia Contest must be turned in before your round 3 match starts. Any quizzes turned in after your team s round 3 match has started will not be accepted. The team with the most answers correct wins a prize! Mini Tennis Foam Ball Competition Saturday, April 9th 6:45-7:15 PM *(Format Subject to Change)* Single elimination draw. 1st and 2nd place teams receive prizes. Teams play first to 5 points, win by 1. Alternate who serves every 2 points. Players hitting must alternate with their partner they cannot hit the ball twice in a row or they lose the point. You must let the ball bounce you cannot hit a volley. Serve can be underhand or overhand. Water Pong Saturday, April 9th, 7:15-7:45 PM. Single elimination draw. 1st & 2nd Place Teams receive prizes. We will be playing just 1 to 3 cup games only not the usual 10 to save time. House rules are that you remove the ball and the cup immediately if one of the partners make it, their partner cannot try to shoot for the same cup. If 2 cups are made in a row, just 2 cups are removed and they get balls back. Coin toss to decide which team will start first. **Once the last cup is made that team wins there is no rebuttal or overtime. Team Dance Off Saturday, April 9th 7:45-8:15 PM Individuals by themselves or a group can enter. All entrants will pick their song choice and a quick 30 second clip will play for them to dance to. After all the entrants have danced, the top 2 to 4 will go again for the final selection winners decided by the Tournament Staff & Crowd. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place receive a prize! ( 6 )
