1 2017 Football Media Guide
2 2017 Orlando Christian Prep Football Season The 2017 football season is upon us. Our students and coaches have been working very hard since July 31st. This year s program has the largest participation numbers in school history. Both the middle school and varsity teams have a record number of players. OCP competes in the Sunshine State Athletic Football Conference. Each year the top teams in the conference reach the playoffs with a goal to compete for the Florida Football Bowl Championship. Since joining the SSAC our Varsity program has reached the playoffs every year including two runner-up finishes. The program theme this year is based on Galatians 6:9, Let us not be wary in doing good for in the right time you shall reap a harvest if you do not give up. A football season is a process that builds upon itself each week beginning in the preseason. Our teams spend all week working hard and preparing for that week s game. Success on game day is a result of the coaches dedication and the team s hard work and preparation. GO WARRIORS!

12 OCP Warrior Field Bleacher Project Raising Warriors Raising Warriors is a fundraiser by the OCP Athletics Booster Club dedicated to raising funds to raise grandstands for our OCP Warriors. The funds raised through this effort will provide bleachers to seat 275 students and spectators at the Warrior s Home Field. No amount is too small. ALL donations can be mailed to the OCP Athletics Booster Club or given to a Booster Club Board Member. 13 OCP Athletics Booster Club By definition A booster club is an organization that is formed to support (e.g. coordinate events, raise money, etc.) an associated club, sports team, or organization. Booster clubs are popular in American schools at the high school and university level. At Orlando Christian Prep the booster club will support and enhance the Orlando Christian Prep Athletic Department and its teams through public relations, fundraising and special events. OCP has a budget for school sponsored athletics each year. However, additional funding is needed to give our athletes and teams those extra things that may enhance their abilities, appearance, mindset, and school spirit. Throughout the year the OCP Athletics Booster Club will provide opportunities for parents, alumni, and businesses to support the Athletic Program. Your donation will be made to the OCP Athletics Booster Club a 501 (c)(3) therefore you can deduct contributions you make to the OCP Athletics Booster Club under IRS section 170.
