Pictures will start at 8 a.m. All students were sent home with picture packets this week. Please make sure that your student has their packet ready to go, with the check, filled out that day. For preschool parents: if your child is not normally here on Fridays, please still bring them in for pictures between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Sunday School Kickoff A new Sunday School year begins Sunday, September 9, 9:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m. All children, preschool through 8th grade, are welcome and encouraged to come. Registration (form is available on page 4) and orientation will begin at 9:15 a.m. in the gym on opening day. God has richly blessed our program with new and returning teachers who will be ready share the love of God through lessons and activities each week. Please join us for Sunday School and grow in God s love. We are still in need of one teacher to share teaching responsibilities for the 3rd-5th grade class. Scrip gift cards are available in the school office. Through Great Lakes Scrip, St. Paul purchases retailer gift cards at a discount (usually 3% - 13%). When you purchase a full value card, St. Paul will split the profits with any student of your choice at St. Paul or Valley Lutheran High School, to be used for balances on tuition, extended care, or lunch. Ask us about how to sign up. CEF Saving Stamps will be available to buy on Mondays from 7:35-8 a.m. starting Sept. 10. Bible Study Opportunities LifeLight on Wednesday nights from 6-8 p.m. Check out the FAQ poster. Please register by Sept. 9. Lutheranism 101 on Sunday afternoons from 4-5 p.m. Visual Faith Workshops offered quarterly. Register by Sept. 3 for the Lettering Workshop. 7 th Annual JME Memorial Run/Walk Please join us for a morning of exercise, fellowship, and remembrance: Our annual JME Memorial Run/Walk will be held Saturday, September 8, Students, ages 10 and under, can participate in the ¼ mile run at 9 a.m. and will receive a medal for participation. The 1 mile and 2 mile run/ walk will begin at 9:15. All races will begin on Ziegler Rd (just next to the Church). The deadline to get a shirt has passed, but everyone is still welcome to register and participate. Thank you for your continued support of this event. We hope to see you on Sept. 8th!
