Serving Opportunities Eyeglass/Hearing Aid Recycling OSLC collects used eyeglasses and hearing aids. These are donated to the Lions' Club for refurbishing and distribution to those in need. There is a collection basket in Luther Court. VBS - Sky Team Members The SKY VBS Flight Team is looking for adult and high school Crew leaders and Station Leaders. Additional Opportunities Honor Flight Chicago The DuPage Veterans Foundation is seeking WW II veterans to travel on a free "Honor Flight Chicago" trip to Washington D.C. for a day of honor and an opportunity to see their WW II memorial, along with several other memorials. With the average age of this veteran group at 87 years, they are being lost at an alarming rate before they have a chance to participate in a day devoted to them, and of which they are so deserving. If you know of any WW II vet who has not already been so honored, please call Lee Lindberg at or lee.lindberg@yahoo.com with the name and contact information. Eagle Scout Project Our Saviour s Boy Scout Troop 107 As part of an Eagle Scout Project, one member of Troop 107 will be holding a Toy Drive to help kids in need. This Toy Drive will take place on June 23 from 9:00 am 2:00 pm at Safety Town. All toys that are donated will benefit Toy Box Connection. If any scout would like to help with this project, please contact Tim Corbett at timseagleproject@yahoo.com. Youth Wednesday Night Summer Hang Outs Begin June 27 6:00 8:00 pm, Celebration! Gym The first night will be an Open Mic night and cook out. All Middle School and High School students are welcome, and they are encouraged to bring friends. Donations are needed and items may be dropped off: Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 9:00 am - 3:00 pm 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, June 2 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Sunday, June 3 CLOSED Monday and Tuesday June 4/5 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (Last days for drop-offs) 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Please start setting aside items to donate to the garage sale (e.g. toys - books - clothes - housewares) Large items in good condition may be picked up by request from first floor or garage only ( ). No large appliances, monitors w/o computers, adult mattresses, steel desks, console-tv s or tires. Garage Sale Days: Friday, June 8 8:00 am - 7:00 pm Saturday June 9 (Half Price Day) 8:00 am - noon Volunteers are the life blood of this sale. We need over 200 volunteers to make this a success. 6 Missions Mozambique Mission Trip July 23 through August 3 The purpose of the trip is to connect with our global partner, Vida Humana. The cost is approximately $4000. Slovakia Mission Trip July 20 through July 31 This will be a Builder Trip for the Center for Christian Education, in Martin Slovakia. The cost is approximately $2,200. Church Office Please note that both Main Campus and the Celebration! Campus will be closed on Monday, May 28 in observation of Memorial Day. Summer Hours - Both Campuses June 11 - August 20. Main Campus building will be open on Monday and Wednesday nights until 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights until 5:00 pm. The Celebration! Campus will close at 6:00 pm every night during the week. The Main Campus front office summer hours will be 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Thursday, and 9:00 am - 1:00 pm on Friday beginning June 4 and ending August 20. Who s Your Neighbor? A Sneak Peek at July and how we can help out local neighbors in need. PADS Friday Nights during July and August Once again this year, Our Saviour s Celebration! Campus will provide food and shelter for those in need. Sign ups for serving shifts will start in June so watch for more information.
