2 Our organization was founded in 1944 when a group of community visionaries officially signed articles of incorporation, as the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show and Fair Association. Twenty founding members were dedicated to educational development, commerce, industry, and agriculture in the Osceola County and Kissimmee Valley areas. These principles have been facilitated throughout the years in a variety of ways including fairs, livestock shows, and local purebred animal sales. Today, The Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show & Fair, Inc. is a 501c3 Non-Profit that has more than 200 supporting members. Throughout the year, this team works together to plan and coordinate the largest annual event in our area, the Osceola County Fair. With the help of amazing sponsors, KVLS proudly awards more than $75,000 in premiums and contributes an additional $15,000 in educational scholarships. February 9th 18th, 2018, we celebrate our 74th Annual Osceola County Fair with the theme #AGVOCATE. Combining today s technologies and trends, while remaining focused on our founding principles, KVLS hopes to educate both youth and adults across Central Florida of all things Agriculture. Fair visitors will be treated to the sights of numerous livestock shows, including events testing the skills and knowledge of our many talented youth exhibitors. We also hope you will visit the new (Helping All Youth Learn of Farming & Technology). This FREE area is filled with hands-on activities for children and fascinating information about agriculture, both here in Florida and across the U.S. We hope all will realize how agriculture touches our lives daily, in many more ways than realized. Celebrate with us as we #AGVOCATE while also enjoying our wonderful entertainment and the always thrilling James E. Strates Carnival Midway. Enjoy the Fair! #AGVOCATE #OsceolaCountyFair
