1 MEETING NOTICE The WOOD COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet on June 27, 2013 beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Board s offices at th Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia. The tentative agenda for the meeting is set forth below. Any subsequent addition to or revision of the agenda will be available at the place of the meeting before the meeting starts. Tentative Agenda I. Call to order. II. Roll call. III. Discussion of conference items: recognition of delegations and individuals; presentation and consideration of reports, proposals, petitions, etc., and messages from the Superintendent. A. U.S.D.A. Community Eligibility Option, C.E.O. Dr. Patrick Law. B. Discussion of Waiver Request. C. Teacher Induction Program Robert K. Harris. D. Report on Bids for Parkersburg South High School Track Replacement Connie Roberts. E. Items which may be considered in executive session: Per West Virginia Code 6-9A-4, Exception (2A), superintendent s evaluation. F. Items which may be considered in executive session: Per West Virginia Code, Chapter 18A, Article 2, Section 7, personnel hearing. A vote may be taken when the Board returns to public session. IV. Public discussion and comments. V. Presentation of items for consideration and action. A. Dispense with the reading and approval of minutes for meeting of June 11, B. Recommend approval of budget supplements and transfers. C. Recommend legal invoice from Bowles Rice for May 2013, in the amount of $4, D. Recommend approval of U.S.D.A. Community Eligibility Option, C.E.O.

Recommend approval of Ronald Stanley, lay, authorized, paid, Williamstown High School, Head Varsity Softball Coach, effective June 26, G. Recommend approval of transfer of $40, from the Parkersburg High School Stadium Maintenance Fund to Wood County Board of Education for renovations. H. Recommend approval of the following student transfer from Jackson County to Wood County Schools for the school term in accordance with WV Code, Chapter 18, Article 5, Section 16a: Tyler A. Sheppard, Grade 12, if space is available. G. Recommend approval of out of state travel for the Parkersburg South High School Journalism Class to travel to Gettysburg Yearbook Experience Camp in Gettysburg, PA, July 14-18, 2013, 6 students, 1 staff member and 1 chaperone. F. Personnel matters recommended for approval and positions that may be considered for action on our agenda and addendum* - please see attached. VI. Policy issues. A. The following policies are presented for review, will be placed on comment period, and recommended for approval at July 16 meeting: 1. Policy Treasurer s Duties and Responsibilities and Investment of Funds Policy. 2. Policy 4110 Vacancies Posting of Professional Positions. 3. Policy 4112 Support for Improving Professional Practice.
