3 HOMECOMING WEEK THEME: "HOLLYWOOD" SUNDAY, SEPTERMBER 30th Float Building and Hall Decs Float Building 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm- In student parking lot Float Judging will take place at 3:00 pm Hall Decs 3:00pm to 5:30 pm hallways perimeter to cafeteria judging 5:30 pm All decorating/creating is done by students- Parents are not eligible to help. Please remind students participating in the float building and other activities, all M.H.S. rules apply! MONDAY, October 1st "Christmas Wear " Wear your best "ugly Christmas Sweater" Please---MUST MEET SCHOOL HANDBOOK DRESS CODE! Cookies for sale in Midway before school- $1 TUESDAY, October 2nd Tie Dye MUST MEET DRESS CODE! Food sales in midway before school- Breakfast pizza- $1 Royalty elections begin at 3pm through google classroom WEDNESDAY, October 3rd "America/Camo Wear Food sales in midway before school- Donuts -$1 Royalty elections through google classroom-ending AT 3PM THURSDAY, October 4th wear Homecoming t-shirts or Class Colors (Seniors-red, Juniors- purple, Sophomores- Gold/yellow, Freshman- Blue) Food sales in midway before school- Muffins- $1 No Homework Night!!!!!! Parade starts at 5:45 p.m. Parade Marshall- Pep Rally begins approx. 7:00 p.m. Coronation will be during the Pep Rally KONA ICE will be selling frozen treats at the Pep Rally

4 FRIDAY, October 5th - FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS- WEAR CHERRY AND GRAY Food sales in midway before school- Breakfast pizza - $1 Game vs. East Peoria o Freshmen 5:00 p.m. Varsity 7:30 p.m. Court introduced during Varsity s pre-game activities. SATURDAY, Octoer 6 th - "Hollywood"- 7:30 10:30 p.m.- NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR!! (Morton students & pre-approved guests only) ***No tickets will be sold at the door!!!! Must bring School ID to the dance!!! CLASS ADVISORS HOMECOMING RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES SENIOR CLASS - 3. Supervise dismantling of Hall decorations 4. Organize and supervise parade 5. 5 All class floats will be judged at the high school Sunday, September 30 3:00 pm. Hall Decs will be judged on Sunday, September 5:30 pm. Please encourage all students to show up the day of float building/hall decs, find their class, and help/participate in the decorating! Reminder: an adult must drive all parade vehicles. Class sponsors must accompany/drive/ride/walk with their float Please remind students participating in the parade and other activities, all M.H.S. rules and regulations still apply. FLOAT BUILDING AND HALL DECORATIONS/PIZZA PARTY Float building will be in the student parking lot from 12:30 pm-3:00 pm on Sunday September 30 th. Students will not be allowed to be in the building during this time (unless accompanied by staff and only to retrieve supplies. Hall Decorations will be treated as a lock-in. The decorations will take place in the Midway/Hallways on Sunday, September 30 th from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Doors will be locked. Once student leave, they will not be allowed to re-enter. Only advisors will be allowed to enter or leave the area, so please come prepared to participate with ideas and supplies in hand. Pizza and soda will be served as a thank you for all the hard work, compliments of Student Council and Mr. Jones, Athletic Director. Pizza will be served about 3:30 pm and students will be dismissed by class to enter the cafeteria. Please wait until your class is dismissed to the cafeteria for pizza.
